Albanese and Chalmers have ‘punctured the lungs of our economy’: Canavan
Nationals Senator Matt Canavan has fired off at the Prime Minister and the Treasurer for their “absolutely massive cash splash” which has “punctured the lungs of our economy”.
“This spending we have seen, this absolute massive cash splash, we are now up to 3 or 4 billion dollars I think over the last few weeks,” Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt.
“This is the equivalent of trying to inflate a beach ball after you have punctured a couple of holes in it
beforehand.
“This government has put massive new taxes on the economy like their car tax just the other week.
“They have put massive new red tape on industrial relations and then environmental regulations in green tape as well.
“They have punctured the lungs of our economy and now they are trying to reinflate them.”
