2016 Gibson Les Paul Tribute High Performance vs 2016 Gibson Les Paul '60s Tribute

A tale of two Tributes. Both from the 2016 model year, both with very similar woods and appointments, but each having some interesting quirks to them. Tune in to this video to see if we can figure out what that rattling sound is in the Satin Brown Tribute's control cavity.

I think the big take away from this video is going to be that these guitars both play amazingly but the 4 push/pull pots on the Satin Brown model make it a tone monster. And I'm surprised by how comfortable this guitar plays! The different neck joint, while seemingly nothing special, is a very nice addition that makes playing above the 12th fret a breeze. And the 490R and 498T pickups sound better than I expected when split. Could be the CTS pots, could just be a ringer guitar. No matter what, I'm pleasantly surprised and my view of these budget minded models has drastically changed for the better.

Enjoy!

Edit: Changed the title to correct the model name of the Satin Brown guitar.
