Two men were killed when their car veered off the road and crashed into a utility pole at Jalan Besar Felda Jengka 12 here last night.

District police chief Superintendent Wong Kim Wai said the accident occurred about 10pm while the victims were travelling from Jengka 13 towards Bandar Pusat Jengka.

Initial investigations suggested the driver lost control of the vehicle before it veered left.

The car then struck a utility pole, and both the driver and passenger died at the scene.

The deceased have been identified as the driver, Mohamad Arif Danial Ramli, 23, from Felda Jengka 22, and his passenger, Mohamad Ali Mohamed Saat, 31, from Felda Jengka 11.

Wong said the bodies were sent to Jengka Hospital for post-mortem.
