Our visit to the Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire

A modern UNESCO site of cultural significance offers a day out like no other.

Our visit starts with a look at the First Light Pavilion, which opened in June 2022. It offers an immersive and interactive visitor experience for young and old alike, and we take a look around. Here, you can grab a snack at the First Light Cafe, or pick up a short film, or give an enlighting talk at the Space Dome.

A short walk leads you to the Lovell Telescope and past the Star Pavilion to the Space Pavilion. A little older but no less fascinating look at the work of the Jodrell Bank Observatory.

A fun, educational unique day out in the heart of the Cheshire countryside we would highly recommend.
