Reagan Veterans Remember Assassination Attempt
April 12, 2012: A panel discussion with Washington Post journalist Del Wilber, author of "Rawhide Down: The Near Assassination Attempt of Ronald Reagan." Moderated by nationally syndicated radio show host and Reagan White House lawyer Hugh Hewitt, panelists also included former National Security Adviser Richard V. Allen, chief speechwriter Ken Khachigian, and Dr. Benjamin Aaron, the surgeon who pulled the bullet from President Reagan's chest following the shooting. The five discussed the crisis that surrounded the White House, and how it affected and shaped the Reagan Presidency.
