East African Cuisine and Freshly Tapped Maple | Immy's African Cuisine & Tapped Maple Syrup
Immy Kaggwa moved to Milwaukee 30 years ago from Uganda. After working several years in a corporate environment she decided to trade in her office job for something that came much more natural, cooking. Immy’s African Cuisine specializes in East African cooking, which consists of many stews utilizing different spices and local vegetables and meats. Host Luke Zahm stops into Immy’s shared kitchen to help her prepare a Jerk Chicken recipe. Luke then heads to Stevens Point to meet Jeremy Solin, owner of Tapped Maple Syrup. Jeremy works out of shared kitchen space, The Farmshed. He focuses on infusing unique flavors into the highest quality maple syrup from sustainably managed forests in northern Wisconsin and barrel-aged.
