BRITISH COUPLE LIVING IN TALLINN ESTONIA DURING PANDEMIC, Celebrate Wedding Anniversary on the Beach

In this vlog we celebrate our second Wedding Anniversary whilst in Tallinn Estonia during the global pandemic. Restaurants and public spaces are open here in the city but borders are still closed (except between the Baltic countries) so we spent our Anniversary the best way we know how… on the beach!

Our morning starts with Craig heading to Balti Jaam to pick up breakfast and a little Anniversary gift :) After breakfast we take the tram over to Kadriorg Park where we meet the cutest mumma duck with her 13 ducklings! From there we take a Yandex taxi to Pirita Rand (the main beach in Tallinn).

We hired a rowing boat which cost €20 for an hour which was the perfect amount of time to row along the peaceful Pirita River away from the beach and into nature. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves for the whole hour!

After rowing we walked to Pirita Beach and had a packed lunch before spending a few hours finally relaxing in the sunshine after months of cold Russian and Baltic winter time. Being the restless people we are, we were soon braving the cold sea for a game of Waboba (water skimming ball).

As our time on the beach comes to an end we head home to get ready for a special Anniversary dinner at a restaurant recommended by the locals here and some of you lovely people on our Youtube channel :)

We went for dinner at NOA Restaurant which has a spectacular view across Tallinn Bay of the Old Town and City. It is a beautiful location and although it’s not ideal on a backpackers budget we treated ourselves for the occasion.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to a very special pair,
however nice Estonia is, you didn't plan to spend it there!

Your travels started swimmingly, you're itinery was great,
but after just a few weeks, your schedules running late!!!

After lots of hassle you rearrange your plan,
& finally you decide to get to Tallin, if you can.

You settle in a hostel, unsure how long you’ll stay,
the whole world is on ‘lockdown’, so you go from ‘day to day’.

Your days are spent filming the sites & taking exercise,
then you both do the baltic plunge, take us all by surprise!

Your videos are great to see, they keep us up to date,
give us a taste of things to come & like you, we just cant wait!

Now as the weather is warming up & restrictions start to ease,
you can celebrate you anniversary, almost anyway you please!

We hope that very soon, you’ll both be on your way,
But for now we wish the two of you, a very special day!
