FCC Converter Tower - Transport Project
Emmert International was contracted to move 9 Vessels from the Port of Seattle, WA to a local refinery. The largest of these vessel has the FCC Converter Tower (175' x 36' x 35' x 1,600,000 lbs). Three (3) units including the FCC Converter Tower were too large for overland transportation and needed to be barged to the closest off load location to the plant. Emmert received these vessels from ships gear, barged to Cherry Point, WA, created a 100' long transitional barge ramping system, rolled-off of the barge, and transported into the plant. The FCC Converter Tower was transported on 38 lines of Self Propelled Goldhofer Transport equipment.
