Day 2: Filming Cape Parrots feeding in the high canopy (40m up)

Perched on the edge of a cliff, holding onto the ferns and vines, we managed to "call" in a Cape Parrot breeding pair to feed on a majestic Outeniqua yellowwood in mast - literally heavy with green fruits. The female is calling in the background and reacted positively to our vocalization playbacks by approaching very close. That evening we crept away from the cliff feeling privileged to have shared a few hours with these ancient custodians of the last-remaining intact Afromontane forest patches.
