Volume or Intensity For Home Workouts?

The more intensity you are able to generate while performing your workouts, the less sets and frequency you need. This may take some time to learn but as you get better at your exercises and can stress the muscle, the less work you need to perform as your muscles need to recover from there. Just doing sets for the sake of it is not the answer.
Learn the exercise with proper technique and form, continue pushing harder each workout, then use progressive overload to get stronger over time. The muscle and strength will come.
