March Devotion to St. Joseph – Day 12 | St. Joseph and the Love of the Cross

March is the Month of St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus and protector of the Holy Family. In this Day 12 meditation, we reflect on St. Joseph as the model of love for God and love for the Cross.

Although St. Joseph suffered deeply throughout his life, sacred tradition presents him with peace, serenity, and gentle strength. What is the secret of this profound tranquility?

It is the boundless love of God.

This meditation explores the powerful spiritual truth that love of God and love of the Cross grow together. When we truly love God, we become willing to embrace sacrifice, mortification, and suffering out of love for Him.

In this reflection we consider:

• Why love of God makes us courageous in suffering
• Christ’s command to take up the Cross and follow Him
• How suffering becomes the truest proof of love
