St. George (23 April): There Is a Price to Our Choices & a Prize

St. George wasn’t just a legend—he was a real Roman soldier who faced the ultimate test: obey the emperor or obey Christ.

In a time when Christianity was spreading rapidly through the Roman military, believers like St. George stood out—not just for their courage in battle, but for their unwavering faith. They were honest, disciplined, fearless… because they believed Christ had conquered death.

But that faith came at a cost.

When forced to choose between loyalty to the empire and loyalty to Jesus Christ, St. George made a decision that would lead to torture and martyrdom. His witness reminds us of a truth that still confronts us today:

👉 Sooner or later, we all have to choose.
