Tesla Gigafactory Texas 29 November 2020 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (09:30AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 29 November 2020! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
It was rainy yesterday so the site was very wet and muddy, but today is drying out and tomorrow should be great conditions for work to resume! Despite this, there was some work going on, particularly in the “Big Pit” area. Also, some more demolition work up at the old plant happened in the past 24 hours and we get some close shots of this area in addition to the steel structure. All in all, looks like they are gearing up for a big week of construction!
In this video, we go into a deep discussion about the concrete beam and roof construction going on around the “Big Pit” area and we get a chance to look close to the base of the columns to see how they were attached.

Highlights of today include:
- The old plant has had more demolition work to the remnants of the smokestack and related exterior to the building structures ... they are all gone now. You can see that even though the building is being used for temporary storage, it is in bad condition.
- I get some close views of the bases of the concrete columns as many viewers have asked how the columns were installed and secured at the bottoms ... you can see some kind of adhesive and bolts at the base, but the main strength of the structure will be in the cross beams, wall sections and roof
- The "zippered excavation" really looks to be finished with GeoPier and ready for some new construction that will hopefully give us needed clues as to the purpose of this area
- Many more prefabricated rebar footing squares have been made and are aligned on the west, east and center of the foundation ... we should see many more footings being constructed this week
- For those wondering, the heavy rains did not fill the water detention ponds ... in fact, they are mostly dry
- The piles of dirt on the north side of the switchyard area are almost completely gone now and it looks like they were smoothed into the cliff wall by Harold Green road
- The stockpile of steel parts is now very large, so hopefully we will see a lot of installation work this week
- We get to see up close the steel structure including under the second-floor steel and can tell that the dirt floor is being cleaned and prepped for future foundation work. We also get to see up close the second-floor materials, the truss roof and take a 360 degree near ground level tour of the area
- The far southwest clearing area does not seem to have much progress in the past week, so we only spend a short time to take a quick look and then head back to the main work site
