Tesla Gigafactory Texas 30 August 2020 Construction Video

Giga Texas construction update 30 August 2020. Thanks again to Tesla and Elon Musk for allowing drone footage of Giga Texas to continue with their blessings. This is a huge win for fans, investors, and millions of people inspired by Tesla (and SpaceX) around the world. Thank you!

In this video we take a look at a map of current construction areas to help orient where Giga Texas is at this point, updating it with a new defined area that looks to begin clearing soon. A possible reason for this is the need to use space on the south east side of the construction areas to install a water detention/retention pond system to manage water during heavy rains and to ensure flooding is prevented due to some areas of the site in or near a moderate flood plain.
We also consider if the foundation that is emerging is really two buildings with a loading dock/access between them (more like Giga Shanghai) or if it really will be one large structure (more like Giga Berlin). Hopefully viewers will have some ideas on this!
In other areas, land clearing and pond draining continues in the north and south east as well as the south and the last remaining north west pond is about 85% gone now and the largest of the remaining south ponds is about 95% dry, meaning fill operations should begin soon.. Ground level across the main construction area west of the power transmission lines is rapidly becoming flat.
I hope this video will help viewer see just how fast they are working and how quickly changes happen on a daily basis and how huge the undertaking is to build Giga Texas.
