Side Stretch mistake in chair yoga! Part 3

Welcome back to Chair Yoga Mistakes!⁠

✨ EPISODE 6: SIDE STRETCH (part 3)

Seated side stretch is an amazing chair yoga exercise that ANYONE can do - it's great for lengthening the obliques and creating space between the ribs!

Here is another (and very dramatic) mistake that we can make when doing a seated twist in chair yoga (go to my story feed to see the other 2!):

❌ Feet are together (not hip distance)
❌ Knees are wide and falling to the side
❌ No supportive foundation in the lower body
❌ Leaning OUT off the chair ☠️

That last one is seriously not what we want to see in a chair yoga class folks!

The most important thing is to stay grounded with a broad base in the lower body to support you by having:
✅ Feet at least hip distance
✅ Rooting down through the opposite sit-bone

And you're good to go!
