Tot diagnosed with arthritis after doctors said it was "growing pains" | SWNS

A three‑year‑old girl from Murray, Scotland, UK, was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis after her leg pain was repeatedly dismissed as “growing pains”.

Skyler Smith also has Hoffa’s Fat Pad herniation and trigger thumb, leaving her in ongoing pain and facing difficult treatment with weekly injections.

Her mum says the diagnosis brought relief after 18 months of tests and urges parents to push for answers if symptoms persist.

Skyler’s condition may last for years or even indefinitely.
