A lot of people are unhappy with the way their governments spend tax revenues. As an English teacher abroad, I become keenly aware of things. Many people that look at the numbers, statistics, programs in place, and the way things are handled feel like the money they contribute is wasted or used to line the pockets of the well-connected. PJ O'Rourke famously stated that "Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys." Regardless of your stance, (even if you think your tax dollars are put to good use) in this video I talk about a simple way to change things up. If you feel the need to send money to your government or feel guilty for not giving enough, they do accept donations or you can make your money abroad and then directly donate to the program of your choice. Keep in mind that your strategy should always require professional tax and accounting advice and this video should in no way be construed as such.
