Great Northern Grain Elevator: Neighbors of the Naval Park

For today's video we go off-campus, and highlight an important building in Buffalo's industrial heritage. The Great Northern Elevator (also known as the Pillsbury elevator and now owned by ADM) took damage during the large windstorm we had - also highlighted in our US Naval Vessels vs High Winds video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx1ZsTHStt0

The current owner, ADM, has gotten approval to demolish this elevator - the last of it's kind in Buffalo. This building is the second modification elevator structure, after the use of wood, but before the creation of elevators made of cement. To lose this building would be taking that architectural example away from Buffalo's skyline, which currently has the largest collection of grain elevators in the country, if not the world.
