Introduction to Radioactive Decay
When atomic nuclei don’t have enough binding energy to hold the nucleus together due to an excess of either protons or neutrons, radioactive decay occurs and the nuclei is said to be unstable. In this short video lecture, I will discuss the most common types of radioactive decay specifically alpha decay, beta decay, and gamma emission.
