Larry Bird's Bird Game (16 Points, 8 Rebounds, 1 Pigeon)

May 11, 1991 - As though a debilitating back injury wasn't bad enough, Boston Celtics forward Larry Bird went ahead and broke his face during Game 5 of his team's first round series against the Indiana Pacers. After missing Game 1 of the second round, Bird returned to tally 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists while propelling his team to a 109-103 victory, another chapter in the legend of Larry.

Bird's heroics weren't enough to carry his team indefinitely, however, as the Celtics eventually bowed out to the Detroit Pistons in six games.
