VIDEO DESCRIPTION - This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this seasonal animal landscape image of "GEESE GOING SOUTH" with acrylic paint. You'll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to develop a realistic forest that overlooks a beautiful lake with the reflections of the autumn colors shining bright on the waters surface as the large Canadian geese set off on their southern trip to escape the cold winter season. The change of seasons from summer to fall brings along a change in the color of foliage in certain trees in different regions of the world. In this painting you will learn how to create a variety of leaf colors simulating various tree species and stages of change. Using color theory to guide us through mixing various colors, we'll develop a landscape with perspective and depth. Using an easy blending technique you'll learn to paint the bright blue sky with gentle clouds floating by. To capture the action of movement in the painting, you'll learn how to paint these large goose like birds as they take flight out of the water with their wings in various positions. You can customize the painting to be a different season, like spring or summer, or change up the birds to be cranes, swans, or herons, or you could have a sunrise or sunset in the sky. This painting is created in an impressionistic style using a stippling technique for much of the foliage and an easy layering process for the sky and land. Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, burnt umber (brown), fire red, deep yellow, green oxide, fluorescent orange, cobalt blue
Other: #2 pencil, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. pencil – Draw outline of landscape
2. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint sky and it's reflection with blue and white
3. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint 1st layer of land with brown, green, yellow and white
4. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint 1st layer of trees and their reflection with black, brown, green, red, orange and yellow
5. #1 round brush – Paint tree trunks, branches and their reflections with black, brown and white
6. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Finish threes and their reflections with red, orange, yellow, green and white
7. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Finish land and water with green, yellow, white and blue
8. #1 round brush - Paint basecoat of birds with black
9. #1 round brush - Paint splash with white, blue and brown
10. #1 round brush - Finish geese with black, white, brown, yellow and orange
11. #1 round brush - Sign with black
