In this video, I talk about ASUS TUF A15 2020 battery performance. I split the workload into 6 categories:
1. First up, a video playback test, i recorded a session of Crysis 2 which is a 9 GB 1080p video file, and the A15 lasted 4 hours 25 mins on continuous playback
2. When left fully idle, it lasted 6 hours+ on battery, and i know this is a pointless test because no one is gonna leave their laptop fully idle, but i did it for fun.
3. On YT playback test, it lasted a good 4 hours 55 mins. Which is a good result in my opinion.
4. In simple web browsing and d2d tasks, it lasted 4-4.5 hours. I think as the panel was frequently being driven at 144 HZ a little more battery was getting consumed.
5. In Adobe Premiere Pro, while editing this very same video, i got this result-
6. Also, i didn’t test gaming battery life, BECAUSE YOU SHOULDN’T GAME WHILE ON BATTERY POWER. This is because it causes a lot of stress on your battery and thus wears it down quickly. But in heavy games it should last around 1 hr.
