Dump Trailer Loses Control and Takes Down Power Pole! Here we have a super easy job for Hulk, compared to the monster jobs I've been posting lately. Sometimes, it's fun to take a break from the mayhem and use a rotator for something simple. This call was originally a police job and came in as a dump truck vs a power pole. I've done plenty of these and expected the worse so I took Hulk, my 50ton rotator.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived and saw a routine lift and swing. Sure the pole was badly damaged, but once de-energized I knew it would be a simple job. If anything, the terrain made this job a bit complicated as I had to scoot the entire thing over. This was done so the driver can just drive forward and have plenty of clearance from the pole and so he would have traction.

Alex was finished with a local job and decided to stop by for help, which was great because we ended up using Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, to winch everything out after. The tires were buried pretty good, but was no match for Big Flipper's dual deck winches.
