In this example I just focus on one technology that can really compliment your online delivery.

We often need to add variety into our online delivery and the tool I focus on in this session is ideal. What's more it is free for up to 5 games, which you can use time and time again. So if you are teaching online and looking to take the focus off YOU and to get the students working more, then the tool I suggest in this video is ideal. It is also really simple to use. You can create activities, share them in the chat window of Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet and then the students can click on the links and do the activities. What's more there is a huge range of activity types that we can use online. This one tools has over 30 activity types, so you can add lots of variety to your blended learning and online teaching.

These activities can also be tracked. So when the students do the activities, you can see their scores and see how long it took the students to complete the activities. I really like the fact that you can be delivering some online teaching and then quickly check that the students have understood. The tool I focus on is ideal for online formative assessment. Often when we teach online, it is hard to know if the students have understood and digested the material and so one great way of checking is by setting up quick formative assessments that the students can work on immediately and we can see if they understood or not.

The tool I focus on in this video is a real find. It is very simple to use. You are limited to 5 free activities but you can edit the games and re-use them. You can of course sign up with different email accounts and get access to more games.

Tools like Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams can end up being very teacher centred lessons if we are not careful and so working with this additional quick tools that allow us to make interactive activities really quickly is really useful, saves time and adds lots of variety to our online teaching and learning.
