Patreon intro video Kelly Eddington

Hi all! This is a video I've put together for my revamped Patreon page. I hope you'll consider supporting me there. I plan to blog and create short videos of my studio paintings there, and other perks are available for patrons as well.

I've been absent from YouTube for about six months. I apologize to those of you who have been expecting new content from me here. YouTube's monetization algorithm has made it financially impossible for me to profit off my own videos in any real way. I am earning 1/8 of I used to receive when I began this channel in 2013, even though my subscribers and views continue to grow. I know I am not the only one with this problem. My videos take around three days to produce, and it's just not worth taking time away from my other artistic endeavors to do this anymore.

The paintings shown in this video can take weeks and sometimes months to complete. These are my studio paintings, and they are a lot more complex than the ones I've posted on this channel, which only take about three or four hours to paint.

Video note: there is an audio glitch I simply cannot get rid of at around 1:25, and it is killing me! I have spent two hours trying to correct two words, to no avail, and this is another reason why creating videos is frustrating. I just want to paint!
