Nobody Told Me This About Menopause
For years, I thought menopause was something you simply got through.
You dealt with the hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings—and then it was over.
At least, that's what I believed.
As a woman who served in the military for 30 years while raising a family and building a career, menopause wasn't exactly something we talked about. Looking back, there are so many things I wish I had known.
In this video, I'm sharing the 5 things nobody told me about menopause.
What surprised me most wasn't the symptoms I expected—it was the things I didn't know about muscle loss, bone health, sleep, stress regulation, collagen production, skin changes, and even joint pain.
In this video I discuss:
✔ Why menopause doesn't necessarily end when the hot flashes stop
✔ The connection between menopause and muscle loss
✔ Why bone loss can happen silently
✔ How estrogen affects much more than reproduction
✔ Sleep, stress, collagen, skin health, and joint comfort
✔ My recent experience with hip pain and what helps me manage it
✔ Why strength training, movement, and healthy aging matter more than ever
✔ Why women today have more options and information than previous generations
I also share some of the things I do personally, including strength training, HIIT, yoga, collagen peptides, and hyaluronic acid as part of my healthy aging routine.
