How to play PlayStation Portable UMD games on your PS Vita.

I think one of the reasons the PlayStation Vita didn't take off very well was because it lacked a UMD drive to play physical PlayStation Portable games. With over 80 million PSPs sold worldwide, this no doubt alienated a large portion of potential Vita buyers. I mean, no physical backwards compatibility was initially my dealbeaker! Thankfully, thanks to the hacking community, it is now possible to backup your physical PSP games as ISO files which can then be emulated on your Vita. All you need is a PSP running custom firmware, a PC or Mac, and a PS Vita running h-encore and Adrenaline. In this demonstration, I'm using the PSP version of From Russia With Love as an example.

Once you have your PS Vita hacked, you'll want to install Adrenaline. Simply download the VPK file, copy it to your Vita and install it via VitaShell: https://github.com/TheOfficialFloW/Adrenaline/releases

Your Vita is now ready to play backups of your physical PSP collection.
