Ralph René tribute: Thirty years since NASA Mooned America!
Please forgive the lack of my usual polish on this video. The sound stopped working on my editing computer and all I was left with was my video camera and YouTube Editor - the latter of which sucks.
Today marks fourteen years since Ralph René left this world on his own terms. And this year marks thirty years since he wrote NASA Mooned America in response to NASA and the Rand Corporation misappropriating his name to promote what was back then the Space Exploration Initiative. Today SEI has been replaced with the Artemis program, the first unmanned mission will be returning shortly after this video has been published.
Today is not just a retrospective of the René's book and the arguments it presented, but also a look at where we are now with regards to NASA's latest hype train and just what will be needed to overcome the obstacles of exploring the Moon and Mars for real.
