Sonti was keen to start school but quickly became a problem learner, undisciplined, and always taking chances he was a magnet for trouble. By high school repeated grades, fighting and gangs had become his daily life, jail was the next step. The shock of ending up on the wrong end of a gun, and recognition of his soccer talent, put this Matric learner back on the path as one of Growing Champions rising soccer stars and an inspiring peer leader.

Each One Teach One is an anchor in the triangular relationship between learner, parent, and educator; the show shares experiences of a parent, educator, and child challenges with others in a similar situation.
