To make honey-roasted licorice sticks:
1. Soak licorice sticks in a honey-water solution for 2+ hours (or overnight for fullest saturation).
2. Bake for approximately 30 minutes at 175-200 degrees. Allow to dry overnight or dehydrate for 24 hours before storing.

To make the Adaptogenic Decoction:
1. Place licorice, ginseng root (or powder), cordyceps (root or powder), fresh ginger and/or any other herbs you’re loving and using into a large pot of filtered water. Toss in a handful of goji berries, if available.
2. Allow to simmer gently for at least 20 minutes (up to 2 hours).
3. Strain and pour into your favorite mug.
4. Cheers! Decoctions are concentrated so a little bit goes a long way. Store the rest of your tea in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

*Honey-roasting licorice (and other herbal roots) is a technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine. While decoctions - long simmering teas - are global, this particular blend of herbs was inspired by TCM, which Rachelle has studied in apprenticeship with TCM practitioners, and her Herbalism educations.
Rachelle loves Kamwo pharmacy and https://nuherbs.com/ (wholesale only) for Chinese botanicals, though there are many other excellent sources.
