Areas explored include physical conditions, restrictions of movement, limited abilities and diminished horizons. the loss of spouses, other relatives and friends; contentment and sadness, the love and importance of families and being pressurised by families to move into care; loneliness, depression and forgetfulness, reflecting on the past, feelings that life is over, attitudes to death and a readiness to die

Part of a series of programmes by Malcolm Brown, who made the Talking About..’ series. For teaching and learning purposes, the human life span is divided into 12 linked stages, from the pre-school child to the very old.
