Mike Graham slams Home Office trans plan

The Home Office is drawing up plans to encourage more people to complain to police against anti-trans hate crimes.

This is part of a new hate crimes strategy that aims to 'increase the reporting of all forms of hate crime', including those relating to gender identity.

Free-speech campaigners are concerned that the new bill could criminalise the telling of jokes deemed as transphobic. This follows the controversy from Ricky Gervais' new stand-up routine which poked fun at transgender women.
