Engineering A Kinetic Sculpture - String Powered Sine Wave

Using the art of engineering to show physics in its real life form. Using fishing line and a gear transmission, these 3d printed kinetic sculptures showcase how rotational motion can be transformed into the cyclical motion of the sine wave.

Designed in Solidworks and printed on desktop FDM 3d printers, this sculpture uses mechanical engineering principles to demonstrate the beauty of math and physics.
