Schatz linkage
This is a spatial 6-bar linkage, an invention of Paul Schatz (1898-1979, German-born sculptor, inventor and mathematician).
Input: pink shaft.
Center distance of revolute joints of two green links and the yellow link are equal (= a).
Center distance between pink and blue shafts = a*sqrt(3)
The mechanism cannot move if such geometric conditions are not satisfied.
The yellow link has 3D complex motion.
