'No, no, no!' Senate Democrats disapprove of committee's set vote for Kavanaugh

A handful of Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have walked out of a Friday meeting on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

After GOP chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley set a committee vote later Friday to advance Kavanaugh's nomination to the full Senate, a handful of Democrats on the panel, including Sens. Kamala Harris, Richard Blumenthal and Sheldon Whitehouse, left the room.

Sen. Mazie Hirono said as the 21 members of the panel were called to vote that she "strongly" objected moving forward.

"What a railroad job! No, no, no!" she said, before she too left the room with her Democratic colleagues.
