Leahy presses Kavanaugh on what he knew about Bush-era stolen emails

In a continuation of his line of questioning of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont asked the judge again what he knew about an early 2000s scandal when Manny Miranda, a Republican Judiciary Committee staffer, stole several computer files from a handful of Democrats.

Leahy said Kavanaugh received the stolen emails from Miranda, which addressed, among other things, Democratic strategy on questioning former President George W. Bush's judicial nominees. The Vermont senator noted that Kavanaugh previously said he had limited recollection of those emails.

Leahy asked if Kavanaugh remembers any raised red flags with the emails.
