Senate panel advances Kavanaugh to full Senate

Hours after some of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee walked out of a hearing over Brett Kavanaugh's nomination, a 11-10 vote along party lines advanced his nomination to the Senate floor.

The vote came one day after Republicans heard testimony from Christine Blasey Ford, who accused the Supreme Court nominee of sexually assaulting her at a high school party decades ago. Ford said she was "100 percent" sure that Kavanaugh assaulted her. Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied the allegation.
