Hey guys, welcome back to another video Today I'll be doing a speed test between surf shark and express VPN. So first I'll go ahead and start by just doing a base speed test to see what that comes in app. For the sake of time, I'm not going to speed up the editing or I'm sorry, speed up anything also, just so you don't have to doubt whether something is legitimate. I'm just going to keep everything real time. So feel free to speed it up on your end, of course, if you like. And obviously I will put links in the description to both surf shark and ExpressVPN. Also, my individual reviews will be down there, and links to the best discounts and deals I can find for you guys, as always, always put that down in the description. And I'm curious if anyone's using surf shark using express or if you have another VPN you love. Let me know in the comments below. I always like hearing what you guys are using and what your favorite ones are. So the 77 download 41 up Upload looks like it will be the base we're working with here right now. Let me go ahead, open another one here and let's go ahead and turn on surf shark. So the way surf shark works if you haven't used it before, you can just basically click the connect button and it will connect you to the fastest server. Sometimes you'll hear the term Quick Connect. And you can see it connects fast surf shark is absolutely one of the fastest VPN for just connecting really quickly, which is nice. Now I'm located in Oregon, so bend you know, it's a couple hours away, but certainly a pretty close server. So I expect the speeds should be pretty good. Normally surf shark does quite well, speed wise. And let me see I'm going to refresh my memory looks like we had a 77 and let me get my calculator. Try to do some do some calculations for us here. So 63 divided by I think it was 77 So 82% 77 might be 78. Okay, yeah, close. So about 18% off of base speed that's actually a little bit slower than I was expecting for surf shark. Let's go ahead and we'll do
one more just to
it'll do the same thing for Express too.
Just to kind of get a, see if it's similar. Okay, so the other test I did the other day with, I think it was Express. Or maybe it was Nord, one of them. It was it was particularly low. And it was kind of one of those fluke kind of things where, you know, I did the test again, and it was it was definitely better. Use another server then come back to the other server. And again, it was it was better. so here we can see it's picking up a little bit of speed doing about 71 compared so it's more like 78. Okay, let's do 71 divided by 78 991 91%. So that's about 9% So that's more what I typically see surf shark come in at. Either way, these are both good speeds. So this is what I consider acceptable or good. Anything that's for a local server not to be below 20%. So between zero and 20% off your base speed, here, it was about 18%. Here it was about nine 9%. off base speed. So let's go ahead and disconnect. And we'll connect to express. Same idea with Express, I'm going to do a quick connect. But you can kind of see compared to, to the to surf shark connected right away. Express, sometimes we'll do this where it for whatever reason, is, has a little bit of trouble connecting to a server. Okay, while it's working, I'm just going to open up a new tab, if it's still having issues. Okay, let's go ahead and just try another server. So again, I'm on in Oregon on the West Coast here. Let's try Seattle, and see if that works. Hopefully better. And as far as the time of day for me right now, it's 7pm So this is in the evening I find this is a busier time with people using using VPN. So but again, we're the test is still it's both of these are having to work in the evening time. All right, sure. Interesting with Express here. having troubles connecting, well, this is a good real real life scenario here.
