Borat (2006) | The Pentecostal Revival – One Altar Call, One Fake Salvation, One Holy Roller 🤠⛪😇

In Borat, at his lowest point, Kazakhstan's most desperate journalist wanders into a real Pentecostal church service in the American South. The congregation, warm and fervent, assures him that Jesus loves everyone—even a foreigner who doesn't speak English well. When the altar call comes, Borat shuffles forward, kneels, and receives the Lord with great enthusiasm .

Then he gets the microphone.

What follows is not a testimony—it's a possession. Borat's body jerks. His eyes roll back. He speaks in "tongues": "Grazak crazeem! Cricka-cracka-crick!" The congregation, believing they're witnessing a genuine miracle, erupts in joyful prayer. Some weep. Some raise their hands. No one realizes they're cheering for a man who just faked salvation to kill time .

The scene is peak Borat satire: the joke isn't on the church—it's on anyone who thinks faith can be performed on cue. Borat gives them exactly what they want: a sinner saved. And they love him for it. 🎭
