My upcoming video denouncing Roof Top Tents is not brand specific. It's the idea of RTTs that fails and I didn't want it to be just a review on how my specific RTT has (many) issues. But after I was shooting all the footage for the video I packed up the tent to go home and the zipper started giving me issues.

This happens about every other trip, if the cover moves too much while it's off the end of the zipper comes out and it's a nightmare to get back in. It's really hard to describe how poorly designed this zipper works and what a nightmare it is to fix. My fingers were sore at the end of this and I had 3 bloody cuts on my fingers. Can you measure how difficult your ground tent is to put away by how much blood you shed? This tent regularly asks for "blood sacrifice" to be setup and taken down. If I regularly walk away from putting a tent away bleeding, then the tent has some flaws...

Anyway, even though the upcoming video is not brand specific, it's now dedicated to Tepui and their absolute f@#ing garbage piece of s#$% tents. Luckily this was the the last hour before heading home because it totally ruined my day. If this had happened at the beginning of the vacation it would have ruined the vacation.

If you ignore my advice on steering clear of an RTT, at the very least make sure what you get has a well designed method of putting the cover on because this zipper that is common in MANY RTTs of this design is trash after a few years and will make you hate life.
