Byte-Medicine: The Revolution of Technology and Medicine (28 IESE Healthcare)
The 28 IESE Healthcare Meeting reflected on the new trends in byte-medicine and how this would redefine the healthcare system.
Julián Isla, Founder of F29 Foundation, explained that the sector is moving from providing medical services to offering value. And Ignasi Biosca, CEO of Reig Jofre, added that we are moving towards the customization of medicine.
Carolina Aguilar, CEO & CO-Founder of INBRAIN Neuroelectronics, exposed that companies like Google or Amazon are coming into healthcare, and the frontiers between what used to be considered as healthcare company and what used to be considered as another sector are blurring.
The importance of technology was highlighted by Bernando Valdivieso, the Planning Director of Departamento Salud de Valencia, LA FE, who also talked about the need to change the public procurement model.
Data was another big topic discussed during the meeting because, as Núria Mas, Academic Director of the Meeting, pointed out, how we organise the data now will determine what we will be able to do in the future.
