June 2021 Weeksville Weekend: DISRUPT!: Charting Our Own Pathways in Music
This June we're celebrating Black Music Month! Gone are the days when a musician's success was limited to a recording studio, a label, and radio/tv as the sole pathway to building a fanbase. In thinking about how the digital age has completely disrupted the music industry, June’s Weeksville Weekend will explore how the Three E's of Weeksville (emancipation, entrepreneurship, and empowerment) show up in Black music.
Saturday, June 12th, tune in from 3 - 7pm, for DISRUPT!: Charting Our Own Pathways in Music, as we convene with creatives paving their way through the new musical ecosystem.
