This patient returns for care of her thick calluses. She has very high and rigid arches which contribute greatly to her problem. This foot type has very little to no shock absorption when walking, so these patients are more susceptible to ankle, knee, hip, and lower back pain. After her calluses are trimmed, I discuss with her the need for custom foot orthoses to give her the control and comfort she will need.
