Land and Liberation: Rural Agency and Peasant Struggles in the Past and the Present

Dr. Boaventura Monjane is based at the Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies, University in Cape Town, South Africa as a postdoctoral researcher and is also a fellow of the International Research Group on Authoritarianism and Counter-Strategies of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung. He is also an associate fellow at the Centre for African Studies, Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique.
Cooking a Continent: Environment, Climate Change, and Resource Extraction

Nnimmo Bassey is director of the ecological think tank, Health of Mother Earth Foundation with head office in Nigeria. He is an architect, poet, writer, and environmental justice advocate. His books include To Cook a Continent: Destructive Extraction and the Climate Crisis in Africa (Pambazuka Press, 2012), and Oil Politics: Echoes of Ecological War (Daraja Press, 2016).
