Biography:
John Holloway is a professor in the graduate school in the sociology of the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades “Alfonso Vélez Pliego” in the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico. His books, Change the World without Taking Power (first published by Pluto Press, London, in 2002) and Crack Capitalism (first published by Pluto Press, London, in 2010) have each been translated into a dozen languages and have stirred international controversy. The third book of the trilogy, Hope in Hopeless Times, published by Pluto in 2022, follows the same disreputable path.

Takeshi Shiratori is a founder/advocate for a new neologism, Geosymbiosis (Chikyuukyousei in Japanese) where the existing term is given a new meaning “the attitude/strive/state of the harmonic coexistence of all living forms on Earth,” and he is in continuous search for the based tangible and intangible design, the Geosymbiotic Design. The very question, “How can we innovatively design/redesign our world for Geosymbiosis?” brought him to investigate all the inhibiting issues regardless of discipline. He is an associate professor and hosts Geosymbiosis and Design lab at Setsunan University, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Living and Environmental Design Department, Osaka, Japan.

Claudia Yadira Caballero Borja. An economist from the National Polytechnic Institute and a sociologist at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Promoted alternative economies based on community organization for more than 15 years. Member of Red Tláloc, the first community currency in Mexico; co-founder of the Multitrueke Mixiuhca exchange community in Mexico City. She has participated in various international meetings The People's Summit, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the International Conference of Social and Complementary Currencies in Brazil, Spain, and Japan. Active participant in the World Social Forum. She has written books on community currencies.
