How to Get the Right Exposure with Flash

I've learned that getting the right exposure with flash requires that you understand two main things: the difference between ambient and flash exposure AND how those two work together to create the right exposure with flash.

Setting the exposure on those two are, for the most part, similar, except for one setting. That setting is your shutter speed and understanding how shutter speed affects both your flash and ambient exposure is crucial to getting used to shooting with flash in food photography.
