Burdened by self-doubt and shyness Maia Amai had hidden herself away and lived life in the shadows.

Now, with the devoted support of her best friend and caregiver, Letitia, Maia is closer to her goal of playing for the New Zealand wheelchair rugby team, the Wheel Blacks.
