Duke: Severe resource guarding in a young pit mix transformed

For all of you that followed the story of Duke, the severely food aggressive young pit mix's journey with us at The Good Dog, we're super excited to be able to finally share this video with you! Duke's issues had started at just a few months old, and his issues were all business. He would guard against people and dogs, and had had multiple serious fights with Kiya, the other dog in the house. To complicate matters more, Duke was also deaf. This clip shows Duke's owners working the e-collar obedience/hand signal program we came up with for him, as well as our specific resource guarding protocols. We even invited Kiya along to see how Duke would react around her and food. Luckily for Duke, he just so happens to have some of the coolest, toughest, most dedicated owners around. We hope you enjoy this video, and that it helps give hope for other owners who might have resource guarding issues with their own dogs. Remember, there are answers. Anyone who tells you there is no hope, that euthanasia or management is the only answer, isn't aware of what's actually possible.
