Govt emphasising how they are ‘managing to save money’ in pre-budget discussions
Former New South Wales Liberal leader Kerry Chikarovski says the government have been emphasising in pre-budget discussions about how they are “managing to save money”.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers will hand down the federal budget on Tuesday, May 14.
“I think the government … have been emphasising in the pre-budget discussions about the fact that they’re managing to save money,” Ms Chikarovski told Sky News Australia.
“If they can save money, in part, they will also be talking about how they can afford to make this expenditure so that it doesn’t add to inflation.”
