Skipper Update - Surviving The Storm

The winter had a sting it’s tail as Storm Eunice battered the barge with high winds and storm surges.

Despite this, work has been progressing well with the mast deck repair complete and the new stem coming together.

We’ve also taken the opportunity to visit other organisations, including Downs Road Boatyard in Maldon and Whitstable Maritime, who are rebuilding the oyster yawl ‘Gamecock’ - a similar craft to our own ‘Thistle’.

We also start work on the Platinum Jubilee River Pageant - the biggest event we’ve ever undertaken!
